I'm currently incubating Kuishimbo Media (食いしん坊 メディア)— a creative, international, and multidisciplinary online community learning space for those of us who are hungry to learn and grow.

I recently spoke with Elle Charisse from the Speaking Tongues Podcast about Speaking Taiwanese (kóng  tâi-uân-uē 台灣話)

About 簡單的自傳

Ta̍k-ke-hó 大家好!

I am a photographer (liap-iánn-su 攝影師) born and raised in California (從加州來的). For over a decade (十年多), I've created images (tôo-phìnn 圖片) for marketing and communications (營銷和傳播).

I learned darkroom photography (àm-pâng liap-iánn 暗房攝影) and practiced figure drawing (裸體人物繪畫班) and studio art (工作室藝術課) as a teenager.

I designed my own major at UC Berkeley (加州大學柏克萊分校) through Interdisciplinary Studies Field (ISF) with a focus on Culture, Power, and Difference (文化、權力和差異).

As a research apprentice, I organized protest materials to help build the H.K. Yuen Social Movement Archive, 1963-1982 at the Center for Research on Social Change (社會變遷研究中心). During the start of the Iraq War, I participated in an organized nonviolent direct action (非暴力公民抗命) outside Lockheed Martin, spent the night in a Santa Clara Women's Prison, and completed my community service hours at a radical poster art collective.

I gained experience as a copywriter (文案) for an international creative agency in Taipei, then returned to the Bay Area (hái-uan tē-khu 海灣地區), where I produced webinars (網絡研討會) as a senior webinar producer at a fast-growing online media (網絡媒體) startup (初創公司).

On weekends, I trained in digital media (數位媒體) at BAVC Media, and created my first video (iánn-phìnn 視頻) and multimedia project, flyprojectTV.

I began documenting (hip-siòng 拍照Founder Friday events and PITCH conferences for Women 2.0, a diverse (kok-tsióng koh-iūnn 各種各樣的) female-founded media company focused on scaling female-founded tech startups (女性創辦的科技創業公司).

For many years, I documented for Downtown Women's Center to create images for their annual impact reports, rebrand and website launch, social enterprise, and other marketing and communications projects; and tutored two autistic (自閉症) artists (gē-su̍t-ka 藝術家) in blogging (一對一寫博客輔導).

More recently, I teamed up with Girl Geek X — an organization amplifying women in technology (kho-ki ê tsa-bóo 科技界的女性) — to document girl geek dinners across the greater Bay Area.
